Who Is Vicky?
Celebrity entertainer, Vicky Nagy, is the creator of Just 4Kids. She has always loved to entertain, being in plays around Torbay since she was very young. This led to her gaining a BTec Performing Arts National Diploma as well as up to Grade 5 in Jazz/Modern dance training. In June 2009 she gained an NVQ2 in Working with Children and has recently acheived a Musical Theatre Teaching certificate with Stagecoach Theatre Arts. She is currently studying a Foundation Degree in Performance Practice and Events Management.
How Did It All Begin?
In the year 2000, she decided she would love to incorporate her theatrical skills with working with children. She has always enjoyed looking after and entertaining kids, so while she was teaching children at her local dance school, she came up with the idea of doing Children's Birthday Parties. It started with her family and friends, but then she realised this could turn into something bigger. In 2004 she ended up working as Children's Activities Manager at Kents Cavern Prehistoric Caves. Here she created and ran her own birthday parties as well as performing in both the Halloween and Christmas Shows around the caves. She just loved running children's parties. During working at Kents Cavern, Just 4 Kids started to take shape.
Then in 2006, Vicky got a job working in Los Angeles as a children's party entertainer with Silly Sallys Entertainment. She basically worked alongside Sally Monroe (creater of this company), at various children's parties, weddings, family picnics and at schools all over Southern California. It was here Vicky gained most of her skills in face painting and balloon design.
As well as working with this company, Vicky also ended up working at the new children's restaurant and play area 'Giggles N Hugs' based in Los Angeles. Here she ran the kids play area helping to provide and organise all kinds of entertainment from karaoke to a weekly disco night.
While in Los Angeles, Vicky was very lucky to be able to entertain at celebrity parties. These included the children of Will Ferrell and Adam Sandler to name but a few.
It was only recently in May 2008 when she decided, after 2 years, it was time to move back to Torbay and begin her own children's parties again.
Since being back, Vicky has already landed various gigs. You may have seen her entertaining at Children's Week on Paignton Green and at summer fayres at numerous schools around the bay during the summer of 2008, 2009 and 2010.
Vicky also teaches the Early Stages Classes at Stagecoach Theatre Arts. Here she uses all of her own training in the performing arts to build children's confidence, and help develop their skills in Singing, Dancing and Acting.
She was crowned as Lady In Waiting to Miss Torbay for 2009-2010, so represented the bay, and made various public appearances.
She recently played the part of Belle in Beauty and the Beast at the Princess Theatre, Torquay.
